Jeffrey Rogers; Dipl. Ac., founder of Acupuncture Wellness, began his journey in the world of medicine at Wayne State University in Detroit, Mi. in 1991. Jeffrey started his curriculum in premed with the intention of practicing sports medicine. While on his journey, Jeffrey suffered some health related issues that were not able to be resolved by conventional medicines. Following the recommendation of his father, he sought out a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine. From that first experience his eyes were opened to the differences between Eastern and Western Medicine and a new appreciation for the mind/body connection was formed. Not only did the acupuncture rid Jeffrey of his pain but also brought about a greater sense of well being and relaxation he had never felt before. Also, the concepts of preventing illness through correct diet and lifestyle that the acupuncturist preached were fascinating. From that moment on jeffrey set out to learn everything he could on Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 1996 he left Wayne State to attend The Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Denver, Co. While in school Jeffrey had the privilidge of studying with some of the finest teachers in the field. He also had the fortunate oppertunity to intern with Dr. Ronald Rosin; OMD, a practitioner specializing in Dia Da or pain medicine, and Dr. Zhang Li Xin, a 7th generation master of acupuncture from China.
Upon Graduating in 1999 with a degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine, Jeffrey moved back to Michigan eager to share his knowledge and skills. He set up and developed a thriving practice in Royal Oak over the next 12 years. To better accomodate his growing number of patients, he moved his acupuncture practice to Birmingham, Mi in the fall of 2011.
Jeffrey is board certified in acupuncture through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. He is a member of the Michigan Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and a past member of the American Association of Oriental Medicine and Resolve: The National Infertility Association. Jeffrey is also on staff at Troy Beaumont Hospital's Integrative Medicine Department.
